KOCHI:
‘Present-day advancement in geoscience’, a two day national workshop organised by Department of Marine Geology & Geophysics of Cochin University of Science and Technology was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Dr. R Sasidharan at the School of Marine Sciences auditorium in the lakeside campus of the University today.
T.M. Mahadevan, former director of Atomic Minerals Division and noted geoscientist was the chief guest. Prof. M Radhakrishna from IIT-Bombay delivered keynote address. Syndicate member Prof. N. Chandramohanakumar Prof. R.Sajeev, Dr. K Sajan, B. Chakrapani, Dr. P S Sunil and Dr. N R Nisha spoke.
Eminent geoscientist from various national institutions will present papers in the two day programme. The workshop is being organised as part of the year-long celebrations in connection with 80th anniversary of School of Marine Sciences.
