KOCHI:
The 3rd edition of NIB Awards, being jointly organized by the Ernakulam Press Club and PRCI Kerala Chapter will be distributed on Saturday, 18th February 2017 at Hotel Crowne Plaza Cochin.
Besides rewarding PR & media talents across Kerala. NIB Award also rewards house journals, newsletters, e-magazines etc for PSUs, banks, corporates etc.
P Sreeramakrishnan, Speaker of Kerala will inaugurate the PR & Media seminar at 10 am on Satu
Media & PR awards distribution ceremony will be inaugurated by Prof P J Kurien, Deputy Chairman Rajya Sabha at 6.30 pm. The function will be presided over by P Thilothaman, Minister for Food & Civil Supplies, Kerala and will be attended by Richard Hay MP, Hibi Eden MLA, John Fernadez MLA and M B Jayaram , Chairman Emeritus & Mentor, PRCI.
Dr G P C Nayar, Chairman SCMS Group and M D Varghese, former special business correspondent, Malayala Manorama will be honoured for lifetime achievement in their respective fields. In the Visual Media category, award for Best Investigative Reporting will be given to Joshy Kurien, Asianet Kochi and Best Cameraman will be given to Santhosh S Pillai, Manorama News, Waynadu.
In the Print Media category, award for Best Investigative Reporting will be given to Midhun Pulluvazhi for his article titled “ Maranam Kothichu Avayava Vipani” published in Mangalam Daily and award for Best News Photography will be given to Manu Shelly, Metro Vartha.
In the PR category, award for Business Icon of the Year will be given to Salih C P, Managing Director, AASA Group; award for NRI Businessman of the Year will be given to Kabir Jalaluddin, Chairman, Delta Group of Companies Dubai ; award for Outstanding Contribution to Humanitarian &
; Social Issues will be given to Rev. Dr K P Yohannan and award for Best Innovation in CSR Initiative will be given to Asheen Panakkat, Managing Director, Nanma Properties.
Jury members included senior media personalities including Dr Sebastian Paul, K Sahadevan and B Jayachandran have decided the winners.
For collateral awards, separate category for house journals and e-magazines etc were included for both private and public sector undertakings throughout the country. Awards are given for Best Newsletter, best cover page, best photography, best coffee table book, best concept, best illustration etc.
