THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
National Institute of Speech and Hearing (NISH) has planned an online Interactive Disability Awareness Seminar (NIDAS) on“Epilepsy in Children” for parents and care-givers on October 27.
The seminar, being organized in collaboration with the Directorate of Social Justice, will be handled by Dr. D. Kalpana, Consultant Paediatric Neurologist, KIMS, Thiruvananthapuram. The webinar in Malayalam is aimed at creating awareness regarding the causes, management and rehabilitation of epilepsy among Children.
The proceedings of the seminar, to be hosted by NISH at its campus from 10.30 am onwards, will be simultaneously webcast at all the District Child Protection Units (DCPU) offices for audiences present there via internet. The two-and-a-half hour programme aims at reaching out to a larger audience of parents and caregivers.Interested people may contact the Child Protection Units Officer nearest to them.
