THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Kerala State IT Mission (KSITM) has started an online facility to make the Right to Information (RTI) applications to the Government Secretariat.
The project, being implemented with the support of the National Informatics Centre, will make accessing information through RTI faster and more transparent.
“The project is being implemented with the help of National Informatics Centre. Responses to the applications will be available through online also,” said IT Mission Director.
People can now submit applications through the web portal https://edistrict.kerala.gov.in with the help of a user ID, which can be created using the link ‘New portal user creation’. One can log in to the website using this ID.
Applications can be submitted by selecting ‘RTI’ from the menu on the left side of the portal. Those who have registered in e-district portal can also submit application using their register number. Others can click ‘New registration’ to provide necessary information and submit the application in English or Malayalam. The procedures will be completed once the applicant remits the fee online.
While submitting applications, it must be clearly stated that if the applicants prefer to get the reply through the portal or SMS. More details are available on IT Mission’s Facebook page.
