THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
An additional coach has been allotted in the Vivek Express from Guwahati for the return of the 55-member Kerala weightlifting and boxing contingent in the 64th National School Games, following the intervention of Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs EP Jayarajan.
The additional coach was arranged in the train after Jayarajan brought to the attention of Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal the difficulty faced by the home-bound Kerala team members since their reservation was in the waiting list. Jayarajan had written to Goyal seeking his help in facilitating comfortable journey for the team, which had put up a good performance at the event.
The Minister thanked the Indian Railways for allotting the additional coach for the return of Kerala team.
