KOCHI:
Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (RCSS), observed International Yoga Day along with a yoga demonstration by more than 600 students at the Rajagiri Sports and Cultural Centre.
This was organized as a curtain raiser to the International conference on health and well-being – DYUTI 2019. The gathering was welcomed by, Dr. Binoy Joseph, principal of the college who stressed on the importance of yoga and its health benefits.
Martin Webber, Professor of Social Work, University of York, delivered the inaugural address which was followed by the yoga demonstration done by the students and led by Sangeetha the yoga trainer. An orientation on yoga and its benefits was conveyed by eminent yoga trainer and playback singer Anand Narayan.
The teaser of DYUTI 2019, the annual conference of Department of Social Work, RCSS was released by Martin Webber and marked the start of the conference preparations. Fr. Shinto Joseph, Associate Professor, Department of Social Work, RCSS, gave the vote of thanks and the programme was concluded by the national anthem.
