Top Doctors, Specialists to Attend Free OP at Greenfield Stadium

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
A Mega Ayurveda Medical Camp for public will be held on the sidelines of the December 1-5 Global Ayurveda Festival (GAF) at the Greenfield International Stadium at Kazhakkuttam here, providing free consultation by over 100 leading Ayurvedic practitioners including specialists on all five days of the flagship event.

This segment of GAF has been organised under the auspices of Ayurveda Hospital Management Association (AHMA), the apex forum of leading Ayurvedic institutions of Kerala. AHMA has provided Ayurvedic medicines of over Rs 15 lakh to be freely given to beneficiaries after consultations.

Chief physicians of leading Ayurvedic institutions in the state will attend the camp, which will have exclusive segments for 25 specialities.

“This is for the first time that a free Ayurveda medical camp of this scale has been planned in Kerala. Access to all services available at the camp is entirely free from 1pm to 5 pm on all five days of GAF,” said Dr C Sureshkumar, Chief Co-ordinator of GAF.

The camp will have services of Ayurvedic experts on ‘Vatha’ related problems, Kaya Chikitsa, Asthi and Marm, Prasoothithantra, besides heart, lifestyle diseases, orthopaedics, gynaecology and other women-related health issues, paediatrics, neuro and ophthalmology among others.

The medical camp will also have thyroid clinic, infertility clinic, diabetic clinic, ayurveda and sports medicine section, Kalari and Marma section, autism clinic and mental health section. There will be facilities for free medical check-up relating to eye, ENT and pulse reading.

The focal theme of the GAF 2023is “Emerging Challenges in Healthcare & a Resurgent Ayurveda.

The biennial event is being organized by the Centre for Innovation in Science and Social Action (CISSA), in association with Ministry of Ayush, Government of India; Government of Kerala, and the Ayurveda fraternity represented by AMAI, AMMOI, AHMA, KISMA, ADMA, Viswa Ayurveda Parishad and 14 other Ayurveda Associations.
