KOCHI:
UST Global’s Network of Women Ussociates (NOWU), an internal volunteer organization that facilitates the development and executive mentoring of the company’s woman employees, organized its annual culinary fest cum fund raising event – Yummy Aid 2016 – recently.
The fest raised a whopping Rs 82650, which will be used towards charity. The food festival and culinary contest witnessed 19 teams enthusiastically participate from the Kochi Infopark center of UST Global towards a great cause. Around 200 UST Global employees competed to dish out delicious food items for close to 1500 employees across three locations of the center.
From spicy ‘Dhe Shaps’ to delicious ‘Ruchikootu’, to all-time favorite ‘Dhe naadan’ delicacies, to tempting desserts, Yummy Aid 2016 catered to every kind of food lover offering a mélange of flavors on a plate. This year also saw a range of healthy and innovative dishes.
Special guests from Crowne Plaza Cochin – Executive Chef Kalesh K S, and Banquet Manager Aneesh were the judges of the contest. The judges gave away the prizes for ‘Best Stall’ and ‘Best Dish’. ‘Kayaloram’ won the Best Stall award while, Meen Pollichathu from Dhe Shap tea
m grabbed the Best Dish. Best Charity Partner award was given to the team who contributed the most towards charity.
The contest for individuals was also conducted which required participants to create innovative dish from a main ingredient ‘Oats’ and the winner was Oats Choco Orange Cake. The event ended on a very positive note as every Kochi UST Global employee went back stomach full.
