Vietjet Launches New Routes to Melbourne and Hiroshima

MUMBAI:
Vietjet, Vietnam’s leading new-age carrier, has announced the opening of two direct routes from Hanoi to Melbourne and Hiroshima, respectively. This marks a new step in Vietjet’s plan to expand its flight network to meet the needs of its customers, contributing to the opening of more opportunities for cultural exchange, education, economic development, and tourism between Vietnam and other countries.

The route connecting Vietnam’s capital Hanoi with Melbourne, the capital of the state of Victoria and the largest city in Australia, will be inaugurated on June 3, 2024. There will be two round-trip flights per week with a flight time of about 10 hours. Vietjet is currently flying to 5 Australian cities, namely Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

With regards to the Hanoi and Hiroshima route, the flights will operate from May 12, 2024, with two return flights per week on Thursdays and Sundays, each leg lasting approximately 4 hours. Vietjet currently operates numerous flights connecting Vietnam’s largest cities, such as Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, to famous Japanese cities including Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya, and Fukuoka.

To celebrate the new routes, Vietjet opens for sale thousands of promotional tickets starting from 5,555 INR all-in on the website www.vietjetair.com and the Vietjet Air mobile app. This promotion applies to all international flights on Fridays from March 8, 2024, with flexible flight times from March 8, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

Vietjet and Swissport on March 5 have reached an agreement to provide services in various sectors of the aviation industry at the Vietnam-Australia Business Forum held in Melbourne, Australia. Under the agreement, Vietjet and Swissport will efficiently partner in providing ground services, logistics operations, freight terminal services, and infrastructure management at the airports where both parties operate. They will also manage cargo terminal systems at airports according to the highest international standards.
