THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
With the aim of making Kerala a global hub for design, the state government is planning to formulate a comprehensive design policy, for which it has sought the views from the public.
The government is coming out with this policy with the view that a design culture would go a long way in helping the administration enunciate programmes to improve the living standards of people and create basic infrastructure for them.
The policy also aims at creating projects that will elevate the skills of artisans and sculptors to the international level.
Besides, it will promote the design-based industries in the state, help create an international design hub and generate some 3,000 jobs.
Those wishing to submit their suggestions with regard to the proposed policy can do so at https://startupmission.kerala.gov.in/pages/kerala-design-policy-draft.
