Kochi and Thiruvananthapuram got shortlisted in the fastest growing cities in the country during a study conducted among 17 Tier II cities across the nation. Kerala is the only State which has got two cities selected, as revealed by a recent study conducted by Cushman and Wakefield, the prominent international real estate consultants.
M B Rajesh, Minister for LSGD released the studies during the State Conference of CREDAI. Jaipur, Surat, Coimbatore, Vishakhapatnam, Indore, Nagpur, Lucknow and Bhubaneshwar are the other cities that got selected.
The study also reveals the fast changing attitude of Keralites on accommodation, from independent houses to apartments. When compared to other metropolitan cities, premium residential properties are very much available in Kerala towns. The study was based on Population Size Index, Ease of Living Score, International Air Passenger Index, Metro Development Index, House Price index and GDP Per Capita Index.
