THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
A technology company mentored by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM), in association with Kerala Police Cyberdome, has launched an e-commerce platform that enables all types of shops to sell their products, without breaching social distancing during the lockdown period.
Developed by InventLabs Innovations, ‘ShopsApp’ will be beneficial for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) as well as wholesalers and retailers. Individual producers can also sell their products directly through the platform, which offers the facility to join as distributors. All types of shops can utilize the platform to sell online. Shops can continue using the app after lockdown.
Customers can register with their phone number on the app, which is free. When a customer gives his/her location, all the nearby shops will get listed. Then he/she can place orders from any shop of her choice. Those who wish to work as delivery agents of shops can register in the app.
Kerala Police is also using ShopsApp to digitize Central Police Canteens. For details, visit: www.shopsapp.org. KSUM is the nodal agency of the Kerala Government for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
