Manohar Parrikar Inaugurates the New GSIDC Office

PANAJI:
The GSIDC office at Spaces building, located at Patto in Panaji was inaugurated today at the hands of Manohar Parrikar, Union Minister for Defence, in the distinguished presence of Laxmikant Parsekar, Chief Minister
of Goa, Dr. Pramod Sawant, Chairman of GSIDC & MLA of Sankhali constituency and Sidharth Kuncalienkar, Vice-Chairman of GSIDC & MLA of Panaji constituency.
Said Chief Minister, Laxmikant Parsekar ” All the infrastructure that is built in Goa such as Saligao Waste Management Plant, Schools, Girls hostel, grounds, hospitals etc. are state -of -the art infrastructure which is a requirement in Goa. GSIDC also needed state-of- the-art premises, a spaciuos place and it was long awaited and has now been provided for”.
The General Administration Department (GAD) has allotted temporary office space to GSIDC on the 1st and 2nd floor of the SPACES building, spanning a total area of 762 sq. mts. GSIDC themselves were entrusted with the project of designing and developing the office space. State-of- the-art interiors and facilities have been provided with the use of light weight modular furniture and partitions, which facilitates easy dismantling and reinstatement, in the
event of shifting to any other location.The aesthetics of the interiors are commensurate with a modern corporate office and has ample natural light pouring in. Light coloured laminates, glass, metal profiles and trimmings give the office area a touch of elegance. Open spaces have been proposed to accommodate maximum staff, for flexibility of requirements and for mixed re-use in the staff area.
The first floor will house the cabins for the GSIDC Chair
man, Vice Chairman, Managing Director, Managers, conference room and office of the Goa Investment Promotion Board. The second floor will accommodate the cabins for the Deputy Managers and Assistant Managers amongst others.
