Through the women empowerment model, women participation and inclusion, their socio-economic strengthening and encouraging to build local institutions are integrated across other CSR programs of the Company. The Skill Training Centres now plans to train 412 female youth and provide placements to them in 2023.
Ajay Kapur, CEO, Cement Business, said “We are elated to be acknowledged and felicitated for our efforts towards the community and especially in Women Empowerment. We continually strive to help women to learn, transform and upskill themselves to become self-determining and support the family financially and add value to the community.”
FICCI instituted the India’s first Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award in 1999 to encourage corporate participation in inclusive growth. The FICCI Corporate Social Responsibility Award is recognized as the benchmark that acknowledges the most socially responsible Indian corporates.
