  • Aditya Birla Education Academy Celebrated Teachers’ Day

By NE Reporter on September 7, 2021

    MUMBAI:
Aditya Birla Education Academy (ABEA), India’s leading professional development institute for teachers celebrated the occasion of Teachers’ day by organising a felicitation ceremony for school leaders who have chosen to support their staff, upskill their teachers, provide various opportunities to students and teachers to grow and who have inspired others to change for the better. The objective of the felicitation programme was to acknowledge and applaud the invaluable contribution and commitment of school leaders in revolutionising and preparing the teachers for the ever-changing learning scenario. ABEA has been at the forefront of supporting educators to develop expertise as well as understand the nuances of new technologies and adapt to changes in the education sector.

One of the most prestigious occasions of Teachers’ Day was celebrated with great zeal as Aditya Birla Education Academy felicitated school leaders from across the country and abroad for the measures they undertook to ensure their school teachers power through the year via constant support,
guidance and the opportunity to upskill. The emphasis was also to highlight how teachers have led the way to show everyone around how important it is to adapt to changing times by constantly learning new skills, pedagogies and teaching techniques.

Over 28 school leaders from Indian and abroad were paid a tribute and were recognised as ‘Changemakers’ under various categories namely ‘Promoting inclusion & school wide student enrichment’, ‘Integration of 21st-century skills and new practices’, ‘Creating a culture of continuous professional development’, ‘Nurturing a culture of school wide professional development to improve the total school quality’, ‘Creating a culture of learning leading to better student development and outcomes’, ‘Creating a collaborative learning culture in the Unaided Schools Forum’, ‘Pioneering teacher learning programs’ and ‘Focusing on the continuous professional development of staff’, ‘Promoting a culture of lifelong learning’, and many others.’

Commenting on the felicitation programme, Neerja Birla, Chairperson, Aditya Birla Education Trust said, “Education is the only tool that has the power to bring about a positive transformation in the lives of individuals and shape the mindset of today’s youth. We, at Aditya Birla Education Academy, acknowledge all the educators for delivering exemplary work and bringing about a profound transformation in the education sector. The objective of the felicitation ceremony was to honour the contribution of the school leaders who through their dedication have not only progressed the quality of school education but also enriched the lives of their teachers, staff and students.”

Surabhi Goel, CEO, Aditya Birla Education Academy said, “We, at Aditya Birla Education Academy, are the vanguard of empowering the educators to augment their skill sets to global levels, give them an opportunity to grow and flourish and help them become the best knowledge-givers they can be. Through the felicitation programme, we wanted to showcase our gratitude to the school leaders who have provided support to the ever resilient teaching community, responsible for shaping the young minds of India”

The pandemic made it imperative for educators of the country to adapt to the new way of imparting education. In order to stay abreast with the modern approaches of teaching, it became imperative for educators to constantly upskill themselves. To support the teaching community, Aditya Birla Education Academy has been providing relevant and uniquely structured training courses.

Additionally, the academy has successfully trained over 1,93,000 educators by conducting free sessions. The teacher training courses offered by ABEA cover a wide range of topics providing educators with the opportunity to upgrade their content knowledge, pedagogical skills, adopt new teaching-learning styles and become a part of a larger community of lifelong learners.
