  • After its Roaring Success in Kerala, B-Camp and Fest to woo Karnataka

By NE Reporter on April 7, 2021

    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
B-Camp and Fest: The School of Innovators, the programmes that inculcate a culture of innovation in children aged between 5 and 15, have been revolutionizing the education arena in Kerala for the past five years. Discovering the real passion of children and equipping them to be creators, innovators, entrepreneurs and changemakers, the programme, curated as segments of discovery, mastery and internship, has witnessed more than 6000 children benefitting from it under the guidance of over 500 educators.

Taking its mission to the next level, Bloombloom, the World’s First University of Collaborative Education, which is the brain behind B-Camp and Fest, has presented their online and offline programmes to the state of Karnataka. The learning programmewas officiallyhanded over on April 4, 2021, (Sunday), to Karnataka through the Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Ashwath Narayan, the Minister for Higher Education, IT Science &Technology, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship in the state of Karnataka, by Princess PooyamTirunal Gouri Parvathy Bayi of the Travancore Royal Family, author, and influencerat the Royal Palace, Kowdiar, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.

Bloombloom, the Kerala-based startup aimed at transforming the world of education, ventured into creating an environment of inspiration, to let children not limit their quest to the walls of their classrooms or the pages of their textbooks. Intended to explore their inquisitiveness, creativity and imagination, B-Camp and Fest has partnered with passionate educators and who’s who in segments such as astrophysics, governance, art, coding, game development and B-genius, ensuring 21 hours of monthly classes for each participant. From the 21-day discovery summit covering 21 diverse topics under the mentorship of 21 experts in each stream, to the year-long learning programme, after-school sessions and internships, the gamified, application-driven programme is packed with exciting activities and challenges to help children explore their talents and connect to real-world problems.

The unveiling of B-Camp and Fest also saw the announcement of FEST scholarships for 50 deserving, underprivileged talents from Malleswar, the constituency of the Deputy Chief Minister, DrA swath Narayan, to help them become the innovators and leaders of tomorrow.

Bloombloom, found in 2016, is an ed-tech company that aggregates knowledge resources from across the globe and delivers standardized, top-notch content through their online platform and offline B-HUBs, the first of which was launched in Thiruvananthapuram in 2017. Bloombloom has its wings spread over Kerala, Bengaluru, Qatar and UAE.

Expressing immense joy over widening the boundaries of his dream venture, R. Abhilash, founder of Bloombloomand B-HUB, said, “Bloombloom was conceived as an idea where passion meets education and it’s a proud moment for our team to see B-Camp and Fest scaling new heights, creating enterprising and creative mindset in the young generation, expanding their horizons. With the traditional education system coupled with out-of-the-box thoughts and carefully-curated spaces like B-Camp and Fest, the gap between conventional schooling and ground reality is bridged. Fest, the year-long programme, held at the convenience of students after-school and weekends, prepare them for futuristic opportunities and offer them interesting alternatives to lighter form of content like social media and gaming. While conventional schooling shows children the crescent moon, we help them see the depths and heights of the moon!”

The event was attended by Arjun Sooraj, the 11-year-old astrophysics prodigy, who has built an observatory in his home and conducts classes for studentsbecoming a part of the knowledge ecosystem. After the launch a ‘Festie’ and parents shared their incredible journey with B-Camp and Fest.
