Blending Higher Education and Skill Building is Vital: Dr. Shakila T. Shamsu

KOCHI:
“Blending higher education and skill building into a single platform is vital to progress”, said Dr. Shakila T Shamsu, OSD, MHRD while delivering the valedictory address of the 2nd International Conference on HRD (ICHRD’18) organized by Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Kaushal Kendra (DDUKK) of Cusat.
She also opined that the institutions should strive to integrate and Governments have a long way to go ahead to meet this challenge”. Dr. P.G. Sankaran, Pro-vice- chancellor, Cusat presided over the function. Dr. K.A. Zakkariya Director,DDUKK,  Rassal M. (Member of Advisory Board, DDUKK), Dr. Renjini D. and Smarty P. Mukundan, Co-ordinators spoke at the function held at the seminar complex.
Earlier on the day, Prof. Alvin J.Williams of the South Alabama University USA, Dr. Mathew Manimala, Prof(retd.) IIM Bangalore, Dr. Sonia Aguilar, Fort Hays State University, USA, and Dr. Gopi Sharma Dean, Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar, led various sessions.
