  • Kerala Technology Expo from February 20 to 22, 2025

By NE Reporter on September 7, 2024

    KOZHIKODE:
CITI 2.0 (Calicut Innovation and Technology Initiative) is planning the next edition of the Kerala Technology Expo, KTX 2025, to be held from February 20 to 22, 2025, at the Calicut Trade Centre, Kozhikode.

For this second edition and beyond, CITI 2.0 has partnered with MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications (MMA) from Bengaluru, India’s leading B2B event production house with 25 years of experience.

The Kerala Technology Expo (KTX), an initiative of CITI 2.0 and a registered trademark, is envisioned as an annual event that serves as a convergence point for various industry verticals and emerging trends in the Malabar region. As a dynamic B2B networking platform, KTX aims to foster connections between the global technology ecosystem, particularly the Middle East, and the vibrant Indian tech landscape.

KTX 2025 promises to build on the success of its predecessor, driving innovation and fostering connections within the global technology ecosystem, while continuing to position Kozhikode as a key destination for technological growth and collaboration.

Against the vibrant backdrop of Kozhikode’s thriving Information Technology community, the city, under the leadership of the CITI 2.0, recently hosted the inaugural Kerala Technology Expo, KTX Global Wave 2024. This landmark event was supported by nine key stakeholders of CITI 2.0, led by the Malabar Chamber of Commerce (MCC) and including the Calicut Forum for Information Technology (CAFIT), NIT Calicut, IIM Kozhikode, Government Cyber Park, UL Cyberpark Calicut (ULCC), Kerala State Information Technology Infrastructure Limited (KSITIL), Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India (CREDAI), and Calicut Management Association (CMA). Held from February 29 to March 2, 2024, at the Calicut Trade Centre & Convention Hall near Sarovaram Bio Park, Mini Bypass Road, Kozhikode, the expo marked a significant milestone in the region’s technological journey.

KTX 2024 served as a transformative event, setting the stage for Kozhikode’s emergence as a key player in the global technology landscape. Hosted by CITI 2.0, the event brought together key stakeholders, industry leaders, and experts to explore and drive the city’s technological growth. Over three days, the expo featured 49 sessions, attracting more than 110 speakers from around the globe, and included four workshops and a CXO Conference chaired by Mr. Rajesh Nambiar, Chairperson of NASSCOM. Covering a wide range of topics—from Industry 4.0 and digital transformation to artificial intelligence and human coexistence—the event underscored Kozhikode’s commitment to embracing technological advancements and nurturing a dynamic tech ecosystem.

With an attendance of over 9,000 visitors and more than 6,000 registered delegates, KTX 2024 also featured an exhibition with over 120 stalls representing more than 140 IT companies. This extensive participation highlighted Kozhikode’s positioning as a value-for-money IT destination and a gateway for business with the Middle East. The success of the exhibitor companies at the expo further demonstrated the city’s potential as an attractive location for technology firms looking to expand beyond Tier-I cities. To maintain this momentum, Kozhikode must continue to develop strategies for attracting and nurturing the technology and innovation industries.

The press conference was attended by Ajayan K Anat, Chariman, CITI2.0, Mehaboob M A, President, Malabar Chamber of Commerce, Arun Kumar K, vice chairman, CITI 2.0, Anil Balan, General Secretary CITI2.0, Vivek Nair, General Manager, Cyberpark, Manoj, DGM, KSITIL and Akhil Krishna, Secretary, CAFIT.
