The Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) is organizing two hackathons at its newly inaugurated Integrated Startup Complex (ISC) at Technology Innovation Zone (TIZ), Kinfra Hi-Tech Park, here from January 19.
The two-day hackathons– Health Hackathon and Make-a-ton—will mark the maiden events to be hosted by the country’s largest integrated startup hub, opened by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on January 13.
Health Hackathon, which offers an opportunity for engineers, doctors and designers to collaborate, is being organized in association with Indian Medical Association (IMA). Competitions will be held seeking solutions in themes like rural healthcare, self care solutions and pregnancy and child care.
KSUM, along with leading digital medical records provider Grapes Innovative Solutions, is organising the competitions under the slogan ‘Hacking Health’.

Meanwhile, Make-a-ton is a 24-hour open hackathon for university and high school students. It is aimed at bringing together ‘Makers’ to celebrate the spirit of ‘Build over Buy’.
