Mercedes-Benz Continues its Service Focus in Tier II & Tier III Markets

Mercedes-Benz, India’s largest luxury car manufacturer, is now in the second phase of its innovative ‘Service on Wheels’ customer offering in Kerala.

The focus of this unique customer-centric initiative is to get closer to the Mercedes-Benz customers in Tier II
& Tier III cities, which, do not have direct dealership presence. The truck has travelled completed nearly 25000 Kms, catered to over 500 customers in India since inception. In Kerala, the ‘Service on Wheels’ truck has catered to over 100 customer in the region of Kollam, Adoor, Kottayam, Chalakudy, Thodupuzha, Trivandrum and Pathanamthitta. This initiative is part of Mercedes-Benz’s hugely popular service differentiation strategy under the ‘My Mercedes, My Service’ umbrella.

With a history of serving customers in India since the last 25 years, Mercedes-Benz is known to provide the best-in-class service to its patrons. ‘Service on Wheels’, the first-of- its-kind luxury service truck, which has covered nearly 25000 Kms and serviced over 500 customers, is an easily accessible mobile service centre for customers where the Mercedes-Benz technical team in the service truck inspects the car using a mobile lifting platform.

This doorstep service is facilitated with a state-of-the-art service truck equipped with Mercedes-Benz’s ‘Digital Service Drive’ capabilities. The Service on Wheels mobile truck travels across cities to visit the customer’s area and carry out inspection, repairs and service of the car, adding great value and convenience to the customers.

Currently ‘Service on Wheels’ features two trucks; one catering to markets in the North & East and South & West of India. The ‘Service on Wheels’ initiative stand to testimony of Mercedes-Benz’s highest ranking in JD Power Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) and Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) in the country for the luxury car segment.
