KOCHI:
As many as 74% of the students of School of Engineering(SOE) of Cochin University of Science and Technology are employable according to a recent study conducted by National Project Implementation (NPIU) for the central Ministry of Human Resources Development.
SOE topped the list for Kerala in the Information Technology sector. The eligibility criteria and employability in ten different areas in the engineering colleges nationwide were subjected to study. Out of the ten different areas which were subjected to study CUSAT SOE secured top spot in seven areas such as IT, IT products, Hardware, Electronics, Civil Design Construction, Electrical, Mechanical. The increased placement achieved by the students of SOE recently corroborates the study result.
Principal Dr. M.R. Radhakrishna Panicker of SOE expressed the hope that this achievement by CUSAT would attract more companies to CUSAT for recruitment.
