  • Milma’s ERCMPU Announces Awards for High Performers

    KOCHI:
    Milma’s Ernakulam Regional Cooperative Milk Producers’ Union (ERCMPU) has announced awards for excellent performance in six categories, including cooperative societies that supplied high quality milk.

    Besides model cooperative societies, the awards also honour the best milk-cooler units, cooperatives that supply high-quality milk, model farmers, dealers and cooperatives.

    The awards will be presented at a function to be held at Perumbavoor Town Hall on September 28, to mark the 38th anniversary of ERCMPU, comprising 936 cooperatives of Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam and Thrissur districts, ERCMPU Chairman M.T. Jayan said.

    The following are the award winners:
    Model cooperatives in the four districts under ERCMPU jurisdiction: Anand-pattern Cooperative societies(APCOS) in Pandappali-Ernakulam District, Ananthapuram-Thrissur District, Kuriyanad-Kottayam District and Santhigram-Idukki District.

    Best bulk milk cooler units: Koodalappad-Ernakulam District, Pattiparamb-Thrissur District, Champakkara-Kottayam District, Pattayakudi-Idukki District (all APCOS)

    The societies that maintained high quality (all APCOS): Valluvally-Ernakulam District, Mayannoor-Thrissur district, Manthuruthy, Pazhayamattom-Idukki District

    Ksheeramithra award for model farmers in farm sector: Dias Jose (Peringazha APCOS), Johny TJ (Melur APCOS), Bijumon Thomas (Kuriyanad APCOS) and Jins Kurien (Kambommedu APCOS).

    Ksheeramitra award for small scale farmers: Antil Joseph (Chandrapura APCOS), V C Krishnan (Pattiparamb APCOS), Soni Chacko (Kadappur APCOS), Moly Roy (Pazhayarikandam APCOS)

    Milma Mitra award for excellence in marketing: Guruvayur Devaswom, AIMS Ernakulam, Vinayak Caterers and BPCL Ernakulam.

    Award for dealers: K C Chandrasekharan (Ernakulam), K Ramachandran (Thrissur), Abdul Rahim (Kottayam), Nisha (Idukki).

    Milma Shoppe (General): Prejit MM and APCOS Shoppe Thirumarayur.

    Also, consolation prizes for various cooperative societies will also be presented, Jayan added.
