THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
A Painting Competition for Students and also a Cookery Contest will be organised on Sunday (February 18) as part of the National Banana Festival 2018.
While the painting competition for students will be held from 10.00 am to 12.00 pm, the Cookery competition will be held from 2 pm. The second day’s events also include a Cultural Meet at 5 PM, which will be presided over by Dr. George Onakkoor. The Cultural Meet will be inaugurated by Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh, Deputy Chief Minister, Govt. of Jammu and Kashmir at 5 pm.
Daljit Singh Chib, Minister of State & Vice Chairman, J&K State Advisory Board for Development of Kisans; and Kummanam Rajasekharan, President, BJP Kerala, will be the special guests. Prof K Omanakkutty; G Sekharan Nair, Special Correspondent, Mathrubhumi; Rajasenan, Film Director; Thulasidas, Film Director; Unni Mukundan, Film Actor and Dr J Hareendran Nair, Founder, Pankajakasthuri Group, will be the Guests of Honor at the meet.
Ajith Venniyoor will welcome the audience while Pradeep Kumar, Member, Kalliyoor Grama Panchayat will deliver the vote of thanks.
