Training Program for Value Added Coconut Products at CIT Vazhakulam

KOCHI:
CDB Institute of Technology proposes to conduct a series of training programmes from November 2018 to March 2019, on value addition in coconut processing with special emphasis on nutritional health friendly coconut products like virgin coconut oil (hot process) coconut chips, fibre rich coconut biscuits, coconut chocolate, coconut lemonade, coconut vinegar, minimally processed fresh tender coconut , coconut chutney powder, coconut pickle, tender coconut jam, coconut jelly, coconut candy, coconut ladoo, coconut burfi and coconut neera based value added coconut products.

The above training program are mainly focused for self help women groups, kudumbasree units, farmer producer societies and micro enterprises for upgrading their entrepreneurship development skills and imparting leadership qualities for optimum utilization of resources and efficient coconut processing.

The training programs are:
1. One Day training program on traditional coconut convenience foods
2. Four Day training program on value added coconut products
3. Six Day training program on coconut neera based value added products
4. One day training program on coconut vinegar
5. One day training on minimally processed tender coconut
6. Four Day Entrepreneurship Development program
