  • Avoid Waiting at Hospitals; MediHome to Introduce Family Doctors Concept

By NE Reporter on November 21, 2017

    KOCHI:
Doctors to provide house-visits once again in Kerala. Based out of Kollam, MediHome has introduced a scheme where you could avoid wasting time in a hospital but instead ensure proper treatment is provided by diagnosing the problem in advance. The project aims to bring comprehensive and integrated healthcare right to our homes.
Initiated in August 2016 in Kollam, this project has expanded to various districts like Ernakulam, Thrissur, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Thiruvananthapuram. MediHome provides check-ups at regular intervals, so as to guarantee timely diagnosis and subsequent treatment of a disease, thus avoiding the complications that come with it. The highlight of the project is addressing health problems that arise due to an unhealthy lifestyle.
Identifying the problem at the right time helps in taking preventive measures. The calm environment at home helps the doctors to examine the patients thoroughly, and thus diagnose the problems more efficiently. Also, family history of the patients is obtained scientifically and recorded, resulting in extensive health reports for all the family members, thus ensuring healthcare for the whole family.
Each person’s entire medical history is stored digitally which includes their lab reports, their medicines and respective dosage, comments and reports from their doctors over the years. The members can access this data from any part of the world by logging into their MediHome accounts. This facility will be especially useful for Malayalis who are settled in other countries.
MediHome caters not only all specialties of medicine right from a General Physician but also to Geriatric Care, Laboratory Services, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and other related fields. Ayurvedic treatment and Homeopathy is also provided when required. MediHome provides special care for elderly individuals who stay alone. In case they need to travel nearby, MediHome representatives will provide movement assistance to take the patients to their destinations and then drop them back home as well. Regular check-ups will aid in preventing deadly diseases like cancer by diagnosing them at an early stage and thereafter precisely regulatingthem. Patients who have been using medicines for a long time can reduce their usage by controlling the doses according to condition of the disease.
The scheme allows patients to request assistance of the MediHome team in advance and fix a feasible time for the same. This service lets you avoid a trip to the hospital and other related inconveniences, by bringing the medical staff right to your homes. The driving force behind this scheme is Dr. Muhammad Faisal, his brother and businessman Noufal Salaam and Dr. Anwar Hussain. The Corporate Office of MediHome is located at Kadappakkada, Kollam, and the Kochi office is at Unnichira, Edappally. Phone: 7593959595, 7356118883.
Dr. Muhammad Faisal, Dr. R. Krishnan, Dr. Madhu S.Menon, COO, Seby Poulose and Marketing head Syriac John were attended in the Press Meet.
