  • Good Shepherd Contributes Rs 5 Lakh to Ochki Cyclone Victims

    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
    The School of the Good Shepherd, Akkulam, has handed over a cheque of Rs 5 lakh to the victims of the Ockhi cyclone. The amount, which was contributed by the school management, staff, parents and students, was handed over to the Thiruvananthapuram Latin Archdiocese Finance Manager Fr. Yesudas Mathias by the School Principal  Joy M Varghese.
    Owing to the Ochki cyclone tragedy, the school organised a low-key function on December 22, on the occasion of Christmas. The cheque for Rs 5 lakh was handed over at this function.
    In his Christmas message, Fr Yesudas Mathias lauded the charity initiatives taken up by The School of the Good Shepherd. The function also saw Christmas songs, dance and floats that conveyed the message of the occasion. The Principal also wished the students a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
