Kalaburagi( Karnataka): Three Malayali girl students of Al Qamar Nursing College here were arrested in connection with the brutal ragging of another junior Malayali girl student and remanded to judicial custody at midnight on Friday.
The arrested have been identified as Lakshmi from Kollam, Athira from Idukki and Krishnapriya. Though there are four seniors on the list of accused, Ernakulam native Shilpa could not be nabbed. TheKalaburagi police have sought the help of Kerala police to trace Shilpa.
The senior students are allleged to have forcibly put phenyl down the throat of a junior nursing student Ashwathi, staying at the hostel. The victim whose internal organs were seriously injured, is now undergoing treatment at Kozhikode medical college.
