KOTTAYAM:
Sami Direct, one of India’s leading direct selling companies in the nutraceutical and cosmeceutical segment, is all set to launch its presence in Thiruvalla, Kerala.
Well-known as the subsidiary of the award-winning ingredients’ innovator and multinational Health Science Company, Sami Labs Ltd., Sami Direct is now gaining a firmer foothold in Southern India with this new development. The new center will provide better access to distributors and customers and aims to increase the associate base and sales volumes in Kerala.
Special Guest, Miss Noorin Shereef, winner of Miss Kerala Fitness & Fashion Contest, 2017 inaugurated the new center along with the Sami-Sabinsa Founder Dr. Muhammed Majeed on 7th of April 2018.
Speaking at the launch Dr. Majeed, “Having experienced a steady growth in the other parts of the country, we recently began to see a steep rise in demand in the Southern part, and Kerala in particular. This new launch here will act as a nerve center for the region, providing support for spreading the company’s motive of bridging wellness with science and technology and for its consumers to have a direct connection with the brand.”
Sami Direct’s systematic expansion strategy will include establishing a direct presence in select markets and ascertain footprints even deeply to cater to the increasing number of customers. The organization is gearing to cater to the Indian nutraceuticals industry, which is estimated to grow at 20% to US$ 6.1 billion by 2019-20, as there is better awareness today, on increasing fitness with the changing lifestyle.
Although the Indian nutraceutical market is at a nascent stage, it accounts for around 2% of the global market that is expected to grow exponentially, owing to the country’s large population base. This will likely be fueled by a significant 25% per annum growth in functional beverages market accompanied by similar potential growth from other segments. More than 60% of this market is accounted for by dietary supplements. Today, there are a very few industries in India that offer such a spectacular growth potential. And Sami Direct is certainly at the top.
