THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Thiruvananthapuram Division, Southern Railway will be organizing the Swachchtha Hi Seva (Cleanliness Drive) from 15.09.2018.
As part of the drive, a Swachch Rail Campaign will be organised from 15.09.2018 to 02.10.2018. The campaign aims to clean all the 103 railway stations, railway premises including yards, railway quarters, offices and workshops of Thiruvananthapuram Division and bring a remarkable change in the ambience of stations.
The campaign is intended to be a voluntary activity including railway officials, non profit bodies like NGOs, NCC, NSS, SPC etc to make a remarkable change in the cleanliness atmosphere of railway premises to pave way for projecting and practicing cleanliness. With an aim to improve and promote the way passengers experience and exercise cleanliness, railways invite the voluntary participation of painters and drawing artists, landscape artists and interior designers, Corporate bodies with CSR projects who can help beautify stations/railway premises to present a remarkable cleanliness atmosphere.
