KOCHI:
Great efforts are executed by various bodies to overcome the impact of the tragic floods and to rebuild Kerala. As we know, the water receded, houses and schools are getting rebuilt and school buses and other vehicles are getting repaired. Repairing the scarred minds of the children in Kerala is one of the challenges left out.
Federal Bank is coming out with Federal Bank Refreshing Young Minds programme – a special Fun N Learn programme – for refreshing the young minds and reducing the post flood trauma. The programme objective is to rebuild confidence and good hope in them. An art book specially designed for this purpose will be handed over to the children. The programme is designed and executed by Petals Globe Foundation, an NGO serving for the benefit and betterment of children. This art book is created with the support of Jiju Thomas of Learnware Solutions, the promoters of Smart Kindergarten.
Federal Bank CSR Head, Raju Hormis said that there would be a training session sharing knowledge, building hope and confidence. Counseling sessions are also planned wherein psychologists get along with the young minds as friends. Follow-up counseling sessions would be arranged for needy children, he added. The programme will be handled by Ibrahim Badusha, Vice Chairman of Kerala Cartoon Academy, . Sanu Sathyan, Co-coordinator of Petals Globe Foundation and Dr. Anuroop.
The Refreshing Young Minds programme will commence on 27th September 2018 at Standard Pottery Govt. LP School and High School, Near Companypadi in the Choornnikkara Panchayath.
