THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Kerala State Development and Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) has invited applications for the second batch in Blockchain technology training under its Accelerated Blockchain Competency Development (ABCD) programme.
A key State Government initiative, K-Disc launched ABCD programme in July this year, aiming at positioning Kerala as the national hub for talent in Blockchain and related technologies. The first batch, comprising 50 students from Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand and Delhi, completed the programme last week. Another 250 candidates will complete the Foundation Skills in Fullstack in the coming three weeks.
Through the lateral entry scheme, one batch of experienced professionals has also completed the Blockchain Associate programme in Kerala Blockchain Academy (KBA). The ABCD programme is open for diploma holders, graduated youths and graduating students from engineering and science backgrounds. Through an online outreach, the programme has been extended to working professionals as well.
Entrance examination for the incoming batch, which is scheduled on October 27, will have topics like Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning and Computer Science basics.

K-DISC has set an ambitious target of producing 25,000 Blockchain technologists in three years. The programme is developed and delivered by the KBA, which is an advanced R & D department within the Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management-Kerala (IIITMK).
The programme offers two-part certification, where the participants will obtain a Foundation Skills certificate in Full-stack and intermediate level skills on Blockchain technology. The programme for Full-stack is of 124 hours of duration, developed and delivered by Information and Communication Technology Academy of Kerala (ICT Academy of Kerala).
