Biennale Music: Hamsadhwani Treats Patients at General Hospital to a Musical Feast

Professional orchestra Hamsadhwani Sangeeth Sangh, under the guidance of Jose Peter, laid out a musical feast at the 135th edition the Kochi Biennale Foundation’s weekly ‘Arts and Medicine’ programme today at the Government General Hospital.
The latest episode of the all-Wednesday Show was devoted to the veteran music director Arjunan Master. Hamsdhwani had, in July, presented a tribute to composer Johnson, to whom Jose Peter was an assistant for over fourteen years.
“Hamsadhwai Sangeeth Sangh is an endeavour that aims to build the potential of budding singers and artistes under eminent music directors and bringing them to the forefront by developing their singing styles,” said Jose Peter.
The programme titled, ‘Chandrakala Maanathu’ featured thirteen melodious songs of the music maestro, opening them with Balaram’s, ‘Anuraagame’and concluded with the heart-warming ‘Nin Maniyarayile’.
Playback singer Gayathri Rajeev, singers Keertheen Berny, Serenee Berny and Shyni Joju were among other singers.
“Rendering songs as a team is a gratifying experience. Our heart fills with joy when we see the radiant faces of the patients,” added singer Balaram P, a Cochin Port Trust officer.
