Kites Foundation Launches Voice of India on Independence Day

KOCHI:
Voice of India Youth Conclave, organized by the Kites Foundation at the national level as part of India’s 74th Independence Day celebrations, will be held on August 15. Young people from 28 states and Union Territories of India will share their views, development dreams and aspirations on the topic ‘My Vision of a Future India’. The uniqueness of this event is that, the participants share their views on their vision of a future India in their own regional languages.

Medha Patkar, one of India’s most prominent social activist and founder of Narmada Bachao Andolan, will inaugurate the YouTube Live program. Hibi Eden MP, first transgender poet from Kerala Vijayarajamallika, IIMSAM Goodwill Ambassador Asif Ayub, eight-year- old Indian environmental activist Lisipriya Kungujam and India’s first transgender pilot Adam Harry will be the chief guests. Kites Foundation Director Rajasree Praveen will introduce the event and Parvathi Arul Joshi and Anjana PV will be representing the foundation.

‘Voice of India’ program aims to inspire the nation that is fighting the epidemic of Covid- 19 and to bring to the forefront the various ideas of the young community about the future of India. The project is also aimed at conveying the message of Inclusivity and national integration.
