KOCHI:
A five day training programme on market orientation for Farmer Producer Companies (FPO) has got under way at School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology.
The programme, sponsored by National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD), was inaugurated by Dr. K. N Madhusoodanan, Vice Chancellor,
CUSAT. “Through the programme the University in further extending its arms to the society, particularly to the farmers”, said Prof. Dr. K. N. Madhusoodanan. CEOs and Directors of FPOs from various parts of Kerala are attending the programme which is conducted online. Ashok Kumar Nayar, District Development Manager, NABARD, Dr. D Mavooth, Director, School of Management Studies, and Programme Co-ordinators Dr. Sangeetha K Prathap and Dr Sam Thomas spoke. NABARD has sanctioned three such programmes to CUSAT.
