Digital Economy Presentation at Rajbhavan by SBT

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
State Bank of Travancore conducted a presentation on ‘Digital Economy’ before the Governor of Kerala , Justice P Sathasivam, at Rajbhavan Complex in Thiruvananthapuram today morning.
Also present on the occasion was Secretary to Governor, Dr. Davendra Kumar Dhodawat and the entire staff of Rajbhavan Secratariat. SBT was represented by General Manager (Retail Network I) M Devi Prasad, Deputy General Manager Ramaswamy R, Assistant General Managers Lekshmi Radhakrishnan, Gopal U and Gopakumar KG .
The session included a presentation on various modes of Cashless transactions, a video show and a live demonstration of State Bank Buddy Wallet system. The session was organized as a part of SBT’s campaign to create awareness about Digital Banking in the wake of Demonetization. The session touched upon various issues such as how general public and businesses can make use of Internet Banking, Mobile Banking, UPI,
USSD, Credit/Debit Cards, PoS machines, Wallets to conduct cashless transactions.
Advantages and safety aspects were outlined in detail. The session also elaborated on how Online and Card related frauds can be mitigated using Internet Banking. The Governor appreciated the effort and raised queries and gave suggestions on Cashless model for all financial transactions in Rajbhavan for which Bank officials assured their entire support.
