  • Jaro Education Invests in Employee Growth with Experiential Learning Programme

By NE Reporter on March 15, 2023

    KOCHI:
India’s trusted online higher education company, Jaro Education, recently organised an experiential learning Management Development Programme for its employees, ranging from budding leaders to the most senior leaders of the company, like Assistant Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents etc.

This was an initiative by the company to help its employees upskill themselves and prepare for the next level of responsibilities in the VUCA World. The programme helped the participants develop skill sets specific to job roles, imbibe leadership qualities and learn the nuances of their industry.

The programme was divided into three segments, with each segment focusing on a particular level of employees. Segment 1 was targeted towards junior-level employees, who might be required to step up into managerial roles in the future. They have been mentored on setting goals, managing resources, building a team, making decisions leading to impactful results, and much more. Segment 2 focused on mid-level managers who are ready to move up the ladder. They have been mentored on managing time, leading and effectively managing teams, being resilient and agile, fostering high performance within teams and much more. The final segment, Segment 3, was for the senior leaders, with the core focus on strategic thinking, fostering creativity in organizations, achieving excellence in teams, and developing an entrepreneurial mindset.

CEO of Jaro Education, Ranjita Raman, said “Our culture of fostering growth, innovation, learning and development has contributed significantly to the growth journey of our leaders. The programme is an initiative to build successful next-generation intrapreneurs who will drive innovation and positively impact the system. The modules in the programme are designed to provide a thorough understanding of the most recent and relevant management techniques and approaches, which can aid the development of these professionals.”

Operations Manager of Jaro Education, Ankita Singh, said, “My MDP session at Jaro Education has been a great learning experience. I was able to garner deeper insights on how to enhance customer experience and deliver true value to our customers. The session also demonstrated the commitment of our leadership team towards empowering us with required skills to consistently innovate. I feel proud to be associated with one of the fastest-growing edutech brand that is highly focused on providing opportunities to its employees to achieve the next level of growth in their careers.”

The programme saw top professors in India carry out the programme. The Segment 1 professionals were coached by professors having over 20 years of experience. Segment 2 received lessons from veteran industry experts and the faculty of IIM Kozhikode, while the IIM Ahmedabad professors mentored Segment 3 professionals.

The company has been awarded the Edtech leadership award and the National best employer accolade by World HRD Congress in 2022. Despite the turbulence in the sector, the company has not resorted to any layoffs, unlike many of its competitors, who adopted aggressive marketing strategies and cost-cutting measures. Jaro Education remained committed to its vision of delivering quality education and focused on enhancing its offerings, thereby earning the trust and loyalty of its students and employees alike.
