Chef Nalan with a Grand Onam Sadhya

Chef Nalan is set to serve love on a plantain leaf during the Onam season. He said the Grand Onam Sadhya, featuring around 30 dishes, is prepared with the goal of serving the taste of motherhood. The special meal will be held at the Yaacht Kitchen in Chakkaraparambu, on the bypass.

The Onam Sadhya will be served on Uthradam, Thiruvonam, and Avittam (September 4, 5, 6) in three sittings at 12 PM, 1 PM, and 2 PM. The cost is 1299 rupees. Children below 15 years old will be charged half price, and children under 6 years old will eat for free.

The sadhya will include three types of payasam (a sweet pudding). The main attraction is the Padmanabhan’s Palpayasam made with butterfly pea flower, which will be blue. Other dishes will include Kuthari rice, green gram dal, and ghee. Chef Nalan prepares the feast with the motto, “Eat like a king.” To get the sadhya, you need to book in advance by calling 9895413131.

Chef Arpit Makwan, who has prepared food for Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is the one who curates the dishes at Yaacht Kitchen on regular days.
