Union Bank of India received the Kirti Puraskar for the financial year 2024-25 conferred by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. The bank bagged this prestigious award in two different categories – Excellent Implementation of Official Language & Best House Magazine – Union Srijan.
Amit Shah, Union Minister of Home Affairs & Co-operation presented the Kirti Puraskar award to the Bank for first prize in House Magazine – Union Srijan. The Award was received by Nitesh Ranjan, Executive Director of the Bank at the 5th All India Official Language Conference held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat on 14.09.2025.
Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State for Law & Justice and Dinesh Sharma, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha presented the Kirti Puraskar Award to the Bank for Excellent Official Language Implementation during the year 2024-25. The Award was received by Suresh Chandra Teli, Chief General Manager, Human Resources (HR) of the Bank.
Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar is the highest award given by the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to Ministries, Departments, Public Sector Undertakings, Banks, Corporations and Journals for effective implementation and promotion of Hindi language.
During the program, the book Union Bhasha Vaibhav published by the bank and the role of banks in the concept of @2047 developed India was released by the dignitaries present on the stage.
On the second day of the All India Official Language Conference, a prayer song prepared by Union Bank of India in collaboration with all 12 Public sector banks was presented. Also, 11 Town Official Language Implementation Committees (TOLICs) operating under the convenorship of Union Bank of India were honoured for excellent performance by the Department of Official Language.
