THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Hailing Genrobotics, which has engineered the globally-acclaimed Bandicoot robotic solution for cleaning manholes, as a game-changer in India’s sanitation sector, Gautam Adani, founder-Chairman of the multinational conglomerate Adani Group, said it would once again double its revenue this year to cross Rs 100 crore driven by a 250 per cent growth.
Speaking at the second edition of Green Talks in Ahmedabad yesterday,. Adani spotlighted Genrobotics as a shining example of how innovation and purpose-driven entrepreneurship can transform society.
Lauding the Kerala-based company’s journey of impact and growth, he noted that Genrobotics had profitably grown 250 per cent since Green Talks One, and would once again double its revenue this year to cross Rs100 crore.
Reflecting on the company’s journey since their participation in Green Talks One, Adani recalled the powerful images of manual scavenging that Genrobotics had brought to light.
“That day presented real images that showed one of the darkest sides of human indignity. Their awareness of the crisis was bold—a robot capable of entering and cleaning the dirtiest of gutters and doing the work no human should ever be forced to do,” he said.
Adani also highlighted the social impact of such a technology, noting that Genrobotics has deployed over 300 Bandicoot robots across 21 states, freeing hundreds of sanitation workers from hazardous practices.
Genrobotics, a national award-winning deep-tech startup, has been working closely with the Govt. of India’s National Namaste Mission, which seeks to eliminate manual scavenging completely. Its flagship Bandicoot robots are now a critical part of ensuring safety and dignity for sanitation workers across the country.
Adani’s recognition is an affirmation of the company’s ambitious growth trajectory while driving India’s mission to end manual scavenging, standing at the forefront of social impact through technology.
