

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The district-level round of the OISCA–Milma Top Teen Contest 2025 was held yesterday at the Thiruvananthapuram Milma Dairy, marking a significant phase in the annual state-level competition organized jointly by OISCA International (Organisation for Industrial, Spiritual and Cultural Advancement) and Milma for high school students across Kerala.
The contest, aimed at fostering leadership, creativity, and environmental awareness among youth, featured participants who were shortlisted through preliminary screening tests conducted at the school level. OISCA tied up with Milma for the Top Teen Contest as part of its Industrial Engagement initiative.
TRCMPU Chairperson Mani Viswanath and Jessy R S., Unit Head, Milma Thiruvananthapuram Dairy, attended as guests of honour. They commended the collaborative initiative of OISCA and Milma in nurturing socially responsible and environmentally conscious students.
R. Ajayan and Dr Rubina Basheer, President and Secretary respectively of OISCA Thiruvananthapuram also addressed the gathering, highlighting the importance of youth engagement in sustainable development and community service.
The contest was jointly coordinated by the three units of OISCA –its Women’s Chapter, the Thiruvananthapuram chapter, and Kazhakuttom Chapter, under the supervision of the OISCA district Committee.
Apart from the contest prizes, Milma honoured the top three students with special gift hampers, recognizing their outstanding performance and participation.
At the conclusion of the event, two students were selected to represent the district in the state-level finals, scheduled to be held in Kottayam on November 8, 2025. The selected finalists are Martin Johny from Loyola School, Sreekariyam, and Martha Mary Chacko from Carmel Higher Secondary School, Vazhuthacaud.
The event reflected the shared commitment of OISCA and Milma to empowering young minds and promoting a culture of environmental stewardship and responsible citizenship.
