KOCHI:
Freyr Energy, one of India’s leading rooftop solar energy companies is encouraging solar adoption for first time solar customers in Kerala. This initiative is in line with Freyr Energy’s vision to achieve 1 crore rooftop solar installations by March 2027, under the PM Surya Ghar Yojana. As part of its Christmas festive initiative in Kerala, first-time solar buyers will receive 1 gram of gold as a complimentary gift with every rooftop solar installation booked during the offer period.
The special Christmas offer will remain valid until January 1, 2026, and is applicable across Kerala, effective immediately.
The initiative is aimed to encourage more households in Kerala to adopt clean and sustainable energy solutions while adding festive cheer through an assured gold reward. Kerala continues to be one of the leading states in rooftop solar adoption, and Freyr Energy’s latest initiative is expected to further accelerate the transition toward solar energy at the residential level.
Speaking on the initiative, Radhika Choudary, Co-founder and Director, Freyr Energy said, “This Christmas, we wanted to make the solar transition more rewarding for our customers in Kerala. With this gold offer, we aim to appreciate our new customers who have trusted us with their solar investment. This is an exclusive Kerala-focused offer, considering the state’s high electricity tariffs, its inclination as well as vast potential for accelerating the transition to solar energy.”
As Kerala’s electricity consumption continues to surge, with daily usage now crossing 100 MU and peak demand touching record highs of over 5,800 MW in 2024, there is an urgent need for sustainable and reliable energy solutions. As per Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB) projections, the state’s annual power requirement is expected to rise sharply to nearly 45,000 MU by FY 2040. Freyr Energy which has established a strong footprint across Kerala has completed236 projects with a combined installed capacity of 1.27 MW, further strengthening its presence in a state that is rapidly advancing its clean-energy adoption.
