Anil Foods, a leading vermicelli and flour brand in South India, has formally entered the Kerala market.The products will be available in the Kerala market in a customized package that feature brand, product and label information in Malayalam.
The first product in the Kerala market was launched by Kerala Roadways Executive Director C.P. Kunhi Muhammad. Biju Menon, Kerala Head, Top Anil Marketing Company, Prabhakar Yuvarajan, CEO, Kamal Hassan, Managing Director, Directors Ravi Chandran and Vijay Kumar were present on the occasion.
The company has a strong distribution system of over fourty distributors to cater to more than 72 food products across Kerala.The company aims to increase the number of distributers to 80 within a year. Anil products include roasted vermicelli, wheat vermicelli, millets vermicelli, noodles, lemon vermicelli, tamarind vermicelli, rice vermicelli, sooji, atta, maida, rice flour, ragi flour, murukku flour, kozhukattai flour, papad etc. Anil Foods products are available at 30 to 40 per cent cheaper than the competitive products currently on the market.
CEO Prabhakar Yuvarajan said that he is proud that the brand name Anil Foods has become a symbol of loyalty in the food market in South India. Anil has been a household name in South India, he said. In Kerala, the focus will be on bringing out a wide range of convenient, delicious, organic and affordable food products for a balance and healthy diet, he added. Founded in 1984 by Nagarajan in Dindigul, the company has established a growing presence in South India and other Indian states. In addition to the Indian market, Anil Foods also has markets in U.S, Canada, Singapore and Malaysia.
Kamal Hassan, Managing Director, said that the aim is to bring high quality vermicelli and flour powders to the Kerala market with the help of latest technology and automation.Anil Foods also plans to launch more products in local markets in India in the near future.
