Azim Premji University Announces Admissions to Masters’ Programmes

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, is inviting applications from fresh and experienced graduates for two-year full-time Postgraduate Programmes (M.A. Education, M.A. Development and M.A. Economics) and a one-year Programme (LL.M. in Law and Development) that aim to develop competent and committed professionals keen to contribute to the Indian education and social sector.

Azim Premji University, Bhopal, is set to be operational from the academic year July 2023, subject to relevant approvals, and will offer similar postgraduate programs. Construction of phase 1 of the campus has been completed.

Learning at Azim Premji University: The Postgraduate programme curriculum consists of core courses that provide the foundation, over 100 interdisciplinary / theme-based electives and allows the flexibility to design your course through the ‘Independent study’ option. Integrated field practice at the University is a unique learning experience with weekly practicums, longer exposure visits, field research, internship opportunities and independent field projects. Students also have other learning opportunities through workshops, seminars, guest lectures and events organized on campus.

Admission process and dates: Students can apply online on the University website. Applicants will be selected based on a written test, following which personal interviewswill be conducted for the shortlisted students.

Career Opportunities & Placement Support: Various challenging and fulfilling roles are available in the social sector, including NGOs, corporate social responsibility departments, research, and educational institutions. More than 3000 students have graduated till now and have received excellent campus placement. Close to 110 organisations visit the campus every year. A dedicated campus placement cell facilitates these career opportunities. Some of our graduates are also pursuing social entrepreneurship opportunities.

The classes will be conducted at the University campus at Sarjapur-Attibele Road on the outskirts of Bangalore. Spread over 100 acres, the University hosts state-of-the-art facilities to enable an effective teaching-learning experience and a vibrant campus life. It will be a self-contained learning and living space with hostel accommodation for students, guest stays, library, auditorium, amphitheatre, and sports complex with outdoor and indoor games.
