  • Bajaj Life Launches ‘BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Pension Index Fund’

By NE Reporter on November 6, 2025

    PUNE:
Bajaj Life Insurance, one of India’s leading private life insurers, has announced the launch of its New Fund Offer (NFO) – Bajaj Life BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Pension Index Fund. The fund is designed to help investors build a market-linked retirement corpus through long-term, value-based investing. It aims to replicate the performance of the benchmark fund, BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Index, offering investors a disciplined and transparent way to participate in India’s equity markets. The fund will be available exclusively under the company’s Bajaj Life Smart Pension Plan (ULIP)

The fund offers investors an opportunity to participate in the country’s long-term growth story through value investing. It seeks to generate long-term capital appreciation by investing in a diversified portfolio of 50 stocks drawn from the BSE 500 universe. These companies are selected using enhanced value parameters namely, Book-to-Price, Earnings-to-Price, and Sales-to-Price ratios, to identify fundamentally strong yet undervalued opportunities. Through a systematic, rule-based methodology and exposure across large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap segments, the fund aims to achieve balanced diversification and transparency. It is rebalanced quarterly to stay aligned with evolving market trends.

Speaking on the new fund launch, Srinivas Rao Ravuri, Chief Investment Officer, Bajaj Life Insurance, said, “With the Bajaj Life BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Pension Index Fund, we aim to bring the disciplined framework of value investing into retirement planning. The fund offers a structured approach to equity investing by focusing on companies that are fundamentally strong yet reasonably valued. Over the long term, this approach may help investors steadily build a retirement corpus while staying invested in India’s growth story.”

The launch of the Bajaj Life BSE 500 Enhanced Value 50 Pension Index Fund reinforces the company’s commitment to offering investors thoughtfully designed, long-term investment options. By combining the discipline of passive investing with the strength of India’s value opportunities, Bajaj Life aims to empower individuals to plan confidently for their retirement goals and create sustainable wealth over time.
