Cusat: Sasthrayan Curtain Raiser on February 22nd

Dr. Goutham Chathopadhaya, NASA Jet Propulsion Scientist will deliver a keynote address on ‘NASA’s Search for Life Beyond Earth’ at 4.00 pm on 22nd, as part of curtain raiser programme of the Sasthrayan 2018.
It was with the intension of imparting the benefits of Scientific Research outputs to the public. Sastrayan Programme was initiated in 2017 by Cusat on the direction of Minister of Education, Prof. C. Raveendranath, which became a grand success. The RUSA project of Union Government has adopted this model and has directed all the Universities to conduct similar programme , said Dr. J. Letha Vice Chancellor at the Press conference held at Cusat.
Lab visit, Science Exhibition , Panel discussion, Quiz Programme, Techno Artistry, Coding competition are some of the activities organized in this connection. Padma Vibhushan Dr. e. Sreedharan, the Metroman will inaugurate the Sastrayan 2018 on Tuesday, 27th February 2018. Dr. P. G. Sankaran, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Dr. David Peter . S., Registrar, Dr. K. Girish Kumar, Director, IQAC, Dr. Supriya. M. H. , Co-ordinator Sasthrayan 2018 will aslo speak at the function.
