Cusat: Workshop Concluded

KOCHI:
A three day workshop organised at Ezhikkara by the Centre for Science in Society(C-SiS) of Cochin University of Science and Technology(CUSAT) to impart training to 20 selected women to repair LED bulbs with the objective, ‘Science for the service of the society’, has come to a close.

The participants of the workshop repaired the defunct LED bulbs brought from their home utilising the newly acquired technical knowhow. V.P. Gopalakrishnan Nair, Rahul Das and Reshma led the training programme. Certificates were distributed to the participants. M.S. Jayachandran, President, PalliakalSevice Co-operative Bank, Prof. M. Bhasi, Director, C-SiS, Chandrababu, Member, Director Board of the Bank, and Dr AbeshRaghuvaran spoke at the concluding ceremony. “CUSAT will continue to lead such training programmes in future also as part of its efforts to take science from the campus to the society”, said the Director, C-SiS.
