KOCHI:
A two week entrepreneurship programme exclusively for SC/ST candidates organized by School of Management Studies, Cochin University of Science and Technology in association with BPCL-Cochin Refinery has got underway in the main campus of the University.
The programme aims at motivating and equipping youngsters of the SC/ST community to be job givers instead of job seekers. The programme is designed to provide exposure to practical aspects of starting a business. Ramachandran P S, Executive Director-Projects, BPCL-Kochi who inaugurated the function, stressed the need for entrepreneurship programmes to motivate people to take up entrepreneurship for addressing the issue of unemployment in the country. Dr. D Mavoothu, Director, SMS presided over the function.
