THIRUVANANTHAPURAM:
The Railways are happy to inform that discount in fare/exemption from service charge being provided for the following type of train tickets have been further extended as detailed below:-
For PRS (Reserved) Counter Tickets, when the payment for the same is made by UPI (Unified Payment Interface) including BHIM application, a 5 percent discount on total value of base fare for the minimum ticket fare of Rs.100 and above – with maximum discount allowed being Rs.50 – is being given at present. This discount will be available till 13th of June 2019.
For Season Tickets on Suburban Section if the payment is made through Credit/Debit Card, there will be a 0.5 percent discount on total applicable fare on Season Tickets (Monthly, Quarterly, Half Yearly and Yearly over the Suburban Section) – This discount will be available till 31st March 2019
For E – Tickets and I – Tickets, when payment is made through Internet Booking, there will be an exemption from payment of service charge – This exemption will be available till 31st March 2019.
