KOCHI:
The Officers of Air Intelligence Unit, Cochin International Airport, Nedumbassery effected a seizure of 04 Nos. Gold Bars total weighing 466.56 gms. valued Rs. 13.5 lakhs ( approx. ) from Flight No. AI-964 from Jeddah to Kochi at 4.00 pm on Thursday.
The Air Intelligence Unit officers intercepted a passenger namely Mohammad Ali Shihabudheen, native of Karuvarakundu, Malappuram dist. who arrived by Flight No. AI-964 from Jeddah to Kochi. Four(04) Nos. Gold Bars totally weighing 466.56 gms valued at Rs. 13.5 lacs(approx) were recovered from his checked-in baggage, which were concealed in perfume bottles.
The seizure was effected by a team of officers led by S. Anil Kumar, Add. Commissioner, P.J. David, Jayanth P. Narayan, E.V. Sivaraman Asst. Commissioner, Superintendents R. Latha, GN Lakshminarayanan, KP Majeed, TK Sreesh, K. Sreekumar, Inspectors, Ashutosh, Sunil and Abhishek.
