Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) hosted New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy and first lady, and a 30-member high-level delegation from Choose New Jersey, a non-profit economic development organisation, giving them an insight into the state’s robust startup ecosystem and prospects for collaborations.
As part of the programme, the delegation was apprised of Kerala’s dynamic innovation ecosystem and advanced facilities, including the Super Fab Lab and Maker Village (hardware, IoT, robotics).
The delegation, which included Wesley Mathews, CEO of Choose New Jersey, interacted with 12 Kerala startup founders across sectors such as healthtech, deeptech and AI. They also held discussions with CUSAT leadership on research and higher education collaborations, explored KSUM’s startup showcase, and engaged in direct interactions with founders to understand their innovations and global aspirations.
KSUM CEO Shri Anoop Ambika said the visit underscores KSUM’s efforts to build global bridges for startups and research collaborations, positioning Kerala as a hub for cross-border innovation and market access.
